Global Village confirms October opening date

Global Village plans to release details covering its established guest favourites alongside the new additions.

Global Village will open Season 31 on October 14 2026, beginning another operating season at the Dubai entertainment destination.

Season 31 will run until May 2027 and carry the theme “A More Wonderful World”. Global Village plans new attractions alongside returning entertainment, dining, shopping and cultural offerings.

Dubai residents and international visitors will gain access to the destination from Wednesday, October 14. Global Village has not yet disclosed the closing date in May 2027.

Season 31 brings new additions

The popular family destination confirmed that Season 31 will introduce several new offerings across the destination. Further announcements will disclose new attractions and enhanced features before opening day.

Returning attractions will also form part of the new season. Global Village plans to release details covering its established guest favourites alongside the new additions.

Season 31 will retain the destination’s focus on families, residents and international tourists. Entertainment, dining and retail will remain central parts of the visitor offer.

The renowned festival park has developed its seasonal format around repeat visits, with attractions and programming changing during each operating cycle. Season 31 will continue that pattern through new and returning experiences scheduled across the venue.

Management has not yet disclosed individual attraction names or additional operating details for the coming season.

Dubai destination enters fourth decade

Global Village has operated in Dubai since 1997 and has received millions of visitors from the UAE and overseas.

Season 31 follows three decades of operations built around international pavilions, entertainment, food concepts, retail and family attractions. Participating pavilions give visitors access to products, cuisine and cultural displays from multiple international markets.

Global Village operates as a seasonal destination, with cooler months supporting its outdoor attractions and large visitor volumes. Season 31 will again span Dubai’s main winter tourism period before closing in May 2027.

Dubai’s annual tourism and entertainment calendar includes Global Village as a major seasonal attraction for residents and visitors. Its operating schedule also covers several peak travel periods during the final quarter of 2026 and early 2027.

Dining and shopping remain central

Global Village will continue to combine food, retail and entertainment during Season 31. Dining concepts form a major part of the destination alongside country pavilions and specialised retail outlets.

Shopping ranges from regional products to merchandise sourced through participating international pavilions. Global Village also uses temporary seasonal formats that allow concepts to change between operating cycles.

Season 31 will introduce enhanced offerings across these categories, according to the announcement. Global Village has not yet identified individual restaurants, retailers or new commercial areas planned for October.

Live entertainment will remain part of the programme. Global Village traditionally combines stage performances, family attractions and cultural programming within the same destination.

Season 31 will retain that broad operating mix while adding new attractions designed to encourage repeat visits during the seven-month season.

More announcements planned before October

Global Village will disclose additional Season 31 details during the weeks before the October 14 opening.

Announcements will cover new attractions, enhanced offerings and returning favourites. Visitors will receive a clearer view of the entertainment, dining and retail programme as the opening date approaches.

Season 31 begins almost exactly three decades after Global Village started operations in 1997. Dubai has since expanded its tourism and entertainment capacity across theme parks, cultural destinations, retail districts and seasonal venues.

Global Village will reopen under the “A More Wonderful World” theme, with the 2026 season targeting families, UAE residents and tourists.

October 14 will start the destination’s latest operating cycle, extending through May 2027 and adding another season to its long-running Dubai programme.
